So many complaints in writing, email backed up by photos and videos showing the alleged violations, outright ignored, the actual video evidence offered in each complaint, never requested, never even viewed by our Mayor and Liquor Commissioner, or by the police. Approximately three videos out of dozens and dozens were reviewed by an assistant police chief, who basically said no one cares. He later took early retirement. Nothing done, no investigation. The then City Attornery requested and looked at only two videos out of the dozens and dozens and chose the weakest case to pursue, one in which the type of violation involved was considered the most difficult if not impossible to prove based upon an eariler email from the Mayor’s assessment of different liquor code violations. With so many stronger cases much more easily proven, why chose the weakest instance, unless you were not trying to win in the first palce? It is so typical, shield the bars to protect the revenue.
