Attorney General Greg Zoeller today announced he is filing a petition with the Indiana Medical Licensing Board requesting an immediate 90-day suspension of Kamal Tiwari’s medical license. Zoeller’s office previously filed an administrative complaint against Tiwari’s license in April the same day the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) suspended Tiwari’s privileges to prescribe controlled substances. The Attorney General’s complaint alleges Tiwari over-prescribed controlled substances, a practice Tiwari was prohibited from doing after losing his DEA privileges.
